Service
Montgomery Motors, Ltd; Cycle Sports Hawaii started off as a Harley Davidson repair shop in 1946. The first business location was at 804 Dillingham Boulevard (currently the location of Honolulu Community College). We became a licensed Harley Davidson dealer in the early 50's and took on several other popular brands such as BSA, Norton, Triumph, Hodaka, and Bultaco. (For the whole story on Montgomery Motors, Ltd check out the Hawaiian Chopper interview with Ross K Montgomery.)

In 1972 we became the first Suzuki dealer in Hawaii. Since then we have grown the Suzuki brand name in Hawaii by being involved in club rides, sponsoring riders as well as giving customers what they want - great professional service! Not only are we the original Suzuki dealership, we also have the largest selection of Suzuki motorcycles, carrying most models in all colors and unlike some dealerships we specialize in Suzuki and Suzuki only! When you ask a question to any of our friendly team members about our product or services you will feel reassured that you are getting a direct and straight forward answer from people you can trust.

Montgomery Motors, Ltd is a full service dealer with the state's most complete and extensive in stock motorcycle Parts & Accessory department as well as Oahu's most respected service department. We are a state certified safety inspection station (#187), a listed DynoJet Dyno Tuning Center, Certified Race Tech suspension dealer, and all of our technicians are graduates of MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute). The following are the ten commandments of customer service which we hold dear and live by in our day to day operations:

  1. The Customer is the most important person in any business.
  2. The Customer is not dependent on us – we are dependent on him.
  3. The Customer is not an interruption of our work – he is the purpose.
  4. The Customer does us a favor when he buys - we are doing him a favor by serving him.
  5. The Customer is part of our business not an outsider.
  6. The Customer is not someone to argue or match wits with.
  7. The Customer is a person who brings us his needs – it is our job to fill these needs.
  8. The Customer is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can give him.
  9. The Customer is the fellow that makes it possible to pay our salary.
  10. THE CUSTOMER IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF THIS AND EVERY OTHER BUSINESS.
